Signed for the Blades, and in doing so joins his fourth club in this patch, not bad for a bloke who when he was with us wanted to go back down south because he couldn't settle up here.

Maybe he's grown up a bit and the Blades are the best offer he's likely to get. If he's not careful he'll end up with more clubs than Jack Nicholas.

He's settled into the area quite well now, having bought a caravan in Doncaster

A very poor signing by the Blades I.M.O.

And i was thinking of having a few bob on 'em for next season, well clearly they've no ambition and will just be another run-of-the-mill club with players of his calibre.

Yes i agree - poor signing .I thought Cloughie was building a young side not that JCR isnt a resonable player he's a journeyman and i bet he can be disruptive in the dressing room.

He was the best of a bad bunch when Notts County got thumped 6-0 at NYS.

Surprised at the signing at first but could be the valuable experience needed in a youngish looking midfield. Clough could get the best out of him and still only just turned 30.

McNulty, their other scoop from Livingston, is a great signing on paper and only 21. 19 goals last season.

Had 15 quid the other day on a promotion by any means treble of Blades, Wigan and Bury next season to return just short of a grand.
