I watched Brazil the other week and didn't really rate them, thought they played a lot better tonight but a 3-1 scoreline did flatter them imo.
Feel a bit sorry for the Croats, they played well and had a couple of dodgy decisions given against them. :(

I'm going for a 2-0 Mexico win.
Will be interesting to see how the African teams perform this World Cup.

Should be 1-0 Mexico, a very tight decision, but one the linesman got wrong.

I think Argentina will win.. I thought Croatia would have won if the ref didn't mess up last night, harsh to be fair..

This Mexico has started well but yet again dodgy decisions, jeez they should be 2 up.

looking forward to Spain vs Holland tonight, just hope the ref don't ruin this one too.

Good question, my mate (an old lad) was in the pub last-night and said he was heading off to the bookies so I scribbled out a line for him to put on, he was a bit p*ssed, ten minutes later another lad came in the pub and said my mate was in the kebab shop, the kebab shop is in the opposite direction of the bookies. XD

Can't remember the line but it included Brazil, Mexico, Spain and Chile, think it had Uruguay and Argentina too.

Well done Mexico, (the better side), two bad decisions by the linesman done them out of two goals, the first off-side was very tight, the second one, the only defence for the linesman was the weather conditions, can't be easy to see clearly with the rain dripping off your brow. Glaring miss at the end by Mexico, should have been a comfortable win.

Johan Cryffs autograph.

There were a number of sportsmen at a golf tournament at Carnoustie a couple of years ago and I grabbed a few autographs for a handicapped lad who used to come into the pub with his dad, although handicapped the lads knowledge on sport is amazing. I showed him the autographs and he walked away uninterested. XD

Haed luck Iran, thought they were going to get the draw, no need for the players to hang their heads, that will probably be done for them. :P

Germaany looked like world beaters the other day and I thought they would hump Ghana - just like I thought Iran would have been humped earlier, another sh*t day at the bookies.

I thought the matches were going to be halted every ten minutes for water breaks???
I think it was the US games where there were dehydration problems, are players fitter these days? Is the climate not as bad as it was made out? Or have the players just stayed aff the swally the night before?

Nigeria , Bosnia , and Iran would have been an excellent group of which we may have even finished top of :O

If Nigeria and Iran was in our group then we may have got as high as third...

They have both played well in the games that i watched and i felt sorry for Iran when they lost against Argentina...

They were/are 2 very poor teams tonight, and it also makes you wonder whether there are too many (32) teams in the Finals.

England (for example) get drawn in a group with some of the harder teams like Italy & Uruguay. Whereas France get an easier group with the likes of Switzerland, Ecuador, & Honduras. Belgium & Russia as well get the likes of S.Korea & Algeria in their group, its not right that a tournament like this should also come down to the absolute luck of the draw!!

Not good :blue:

There may be a good argument to drop from 32 to 16 teams in the WC, Acido, but then we would miss out on the pleasant surprise of watching little Costa Rica "take it' to the big boys!

What I find a disappointment is the high number of missed fouls by the refs who seem terrified of calling for a penalty kick even on the most egregious fouls.

There's more chance of there being more teams than less, for global viewing figures and more MONEY.
