How about the white line spraying at free kicks?

And just noticed bloody Gekas playing now for Greece v Columbia. He wasn't good enough for us when we were sh*t!

How do you know that LDB, we never played him. He was a Greek International before he joined us and a leading goal scorer. IIRC he queered his pitch with us by refusing to play for the reserves, but come on, he must have been worth a game. Paul Hart in charge at the time? Nuff said.

He played 5 league games, conceded 11 goals. Only played in 1 winning team (at home to the Boro) and was absolutely hopeless in my very humble opinion. If you ask fans of the modern era who the worst goalies are who have played for us, most would say Yoshi or him, until Sullivan came along of course

We're talking Gekas here, not Chalkias.
Gekas came on once in the 91st minute and didn't touch the ball.

You might as well have been talking about Theofanis Gekas LdB. 1-0 down against Columbians, open goal, chance to get them back in the game, 3 yards out and his header rattled the crossbar. Shoulda stuck him in goal after all.

Ed: Back to the thread. Pretty basic but a great idea was to use a proper ball and not that sh1te Adidas "Jabulani" beachball that kept ballooning over the bar in South Africa.

I think Uruguay's huge baggy shorts are a great idea giving added ventliation to the groinal area in the hot and humid temperatures.

The idea of making each side wear either a dark strip or a light strip has made viewing the World Cup on my Vintage 1960's Sony 5-307UW Portable 5" B&W Transistor TV television much, much easier. :D
