Everton legend 'proud' to join likes of Maradona and Ronaldo with World Cup goal.

It was a trademark goal from Tim Cahill that that put the Australian captain in a elite group of Players who have scored in three World Cup finals.

During his time as an Evertonian, during which time he became a legendary figure, he had a penchant for scoring headed goals, despite his diminutive frame.

His goal against Chile was no different. He out-jumped his man with ease, leaping like a salmon before powering his header beyond the impressive Chile stopper Claudio Bravo.

The goal also means Cahill has now scored at three different World Cup competitions - joining an elite list ofs to have pulled off such a feat.

Cahill is now in that group with the likes of David Beckham, Michel Platini, Diego Maradona and Ronaldo.

He has posted a Tweet today stating how proud he is to have achieved such an amazing statistic - even if they did lose 3-1
