yesterday and next to no-one heard about it.

up to FIFTY thousand people marched through the capital in protest against gvt. cuts and only one major news outlet (guardian) did a story on it.

got to ask yourself how and why

http://i60.tinypic.com/f44irr.jpg

this kind of thing goes unreported by the BBC.

350 scots have something to protest about and it's the most read story on the BBC.

did their best to ignore 50k in london.

how odd. - view external link (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-28079812)

There is a mass protest in london every day it's not news. Fact it was gay pride or some such at weekend means load of people out and about.

People unhappy about tax rises n job cuts  really ain't news

erm, it really is news, matey.

that's a bit like saying there's a fire every day in the city so the brigade should stop sending a wagon.

i did say on a different thread brits have very skewed priorities.

how right i was.

if by 'fool' you mean me, i can assure you, you know nothing about me.

not sure who you think i am.

why jump on a thread about a fairly serious subject and add two nonsense personal comments.

I already know who you are, Get real.

thread hijacked now.

who am i then?

i haven't a clue who you are, but you come across as a strange little person with a chip on his/her shoulder in these brief exchanges.

this thread was about a protest in london. i ask again - why hijack it with two comments that really aren't relevant?

Protest outside Facebook hq London for experiment on unknowing people.
Protest against tfl bridge removal
Protest outside Egypt embersy by journalists
Protest outside Russian embersy over ukrain...

All this week there are many many others I could list. Why should one get more column inches than another. All equally important all ignored by the press to one degree or another.

which is why you should demand more from the media than shots of some z-list sleb's fadge.

50k ppl marching through the capital should be a front page story.

it barely made it onto the BBC website. a few thousand at stonehenge and 350 ppl in scotland were more of a priority for the BBC.

as i said in the OP, you have to wonder why.

They know each other in real life, obviously London is not as big as I first thought.
They're probably clique prospects.

Where have you come from again all of a sudden 'Tricky'.

Im sick of this argument now as to who the real mod is on here. And why have you 'Tricky' given certain comments to Alfie, so he can go and tell his little bum boy Burnsy on (***** England). ?

i don't get why this tricky lad is so antagonistic.

never spoken to him, never encountered him before, but from the first he seems to have had a problem with me.

chip on his shoulder? not much.
