Time to face the fact that England's glory days of getting beyond the first round are over.

England's continuing creeping demise in global power is being reflected in England's demise on the international football field.

The rest of the world has caught up and passed England.

England is large enough that it will probably continue to get to the World Cup finals, which is great, but the days of advancing to the later stages are over.

England is what Scotland used to be: World Cup group stage whipping boys.

Defeat at the hands of the costa rica would be disgraceful...

... but I think England will win, 1-0.

I take it the days of Spain playing well are over too ...being as they didnt go thru


Having the Premier league so physical and every single world cup being played in extreme heat obviously suits certain teams & not others...

Can only be one winner & yes its been a bad tournament but to say them days are over is well...pants really
