Aye, I found that one a wee bit of a disappointment too. Similarly, I found The Great Gatsby fairly dull.

Have you ever read East Of Eden - I loved that?

I would highly recommend it.

The Master & Margarita is my favourite novel. It's f*cking nuts.

I don't really fancy that one. I've got Nicky Hopkins' biography to read next.

Goodness me.

It's the scottishfitba forum version of the Bloomsbury Group.

Problem is, bertrandrussell has never made it past page two in any book he's looked at, but he thinks that means he's read them.

Failed telly humper.

Failed barman.

Fail.

Have you read Bulgakov's other books? Some good stuff.

I tried to go through the classics for a while but The Great Gatsby put me off.

Another great book I read last year was Narcopolis by Jeet Thayil - that's mental as well. Sordid but very enjoyable.

Dorian Gray was a great read, an eternal classic

That's the only Bulgakov book I've read.

I've read a few classics. Might seem like an obvious choice but Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is superb if you haven't read it. :D

I never finished that one. I think Mook has a copy, I'll nick it off him.

Plodding through paragraphs upon paragraphs of someone's flowery descriptions just so he/she could make a word count isn't my idea of fun.
