Everton defender Sylvain Distin tells fans not to panic despite Toffees leaking goals.
Sylvain Distin claims there is no need to panic because of Everton's defensive problems.
Everton's surprise 3-2 home defeat to Crystal Palace means they have the worst defence in the Premier League, having conceding 13 goals in their first five games.
They let in 39 in the whole of last season's Premier League campaign and Tim Howard, John Stones and Leon Osman were all at fault against Palace.
Distin, a cornerstone of the Blues backline for the last five years, says everyone should keep calm and pointed to their solid defensive record of past seasons.
"I don't see what huge changes you can make," said the Frenchman. "We've been solid for five or six years. Over the past three or four seasons we're the third best defence in the league.
"It depends how you want to look at it; you can start panicking and thinking 'what's going on?', but I don't think that's the right thing to do.
