Aussie Magpies a bigger than the mother lands version, and are very very protective of their unhatched littlens.

Crows are a pain for me because they are building their nests on conveyor belts(walkways beside)

And I can't forget the bloody pluvers are a young tacker (they actually have a poisonous hook on their wings)

I love the maggies song. October- November I love them a little less.

As kids they were scary.Nothing like a swooping magpie on the back of your head when you're minding your own business.

Yeah whilst riding your pushy.

They drew blood numerous times, I did have a crow get me once, and he took a decent chunk out of my head.

Love magpies. My favourite birds. I got to see tons of them in Idaho in September.

Again they're slightly different than the British one.

Never had a magpie chase me, but I often see plenty of seagull and magpie fights at hatching time.

Only bird that's ever chased me off is a little robin when I inadvertently went too close to it's nest as a kid. No chunks out of head, but was missing some hair afterwards ... A very brave, protective mummy bird.

Yes protective mothers, don't EVER try to hurt their babies.

I saw a mother(I assume) emu yesterday with it's new born, it was so tiny
