Athletico Madrid were very fortunate in 1974.
Very fortunate none of them suffered serious injury in the SF of the Euro Cup that year, at the hands of an increasingly desparate Sellick team.
I've seen some of the brutality & Jimmy Johnstone for one was lucky to stay on for that kick he aimed at the Spanish defender who was just doing his job.
UEFA fell down on their responsibilities in not severley punishing the club, especially for the bust up the Hoops initiated after the game.
I remember this clearly.
