Why? Why do you reckon it's a good idea? Because he's black? Would this be seen as breaking down racial barriers? How about an Indian or Chinese James Bond?

"Oh look how tolerant and accepting we are placing a black man in a traditional white role" Haven't we come a long way.

How about we get Justin Timberlake to play a rebel slave defying the owners of a deep southern cotton farm.

Hes probably the best up and coming british actor, hes a cool dude and the ladys love him. He would be a great 007 imo. Nothing to do with being black oz.
If he was Chinese he could be James Wong.

There are plenty of roles for ***y black men. James Bond is not one of them.

I liked Danial Craig as Bond but he made it too gritty and serious like. I miss the humour and escapism of the earlier bond roles...and the girls.

To be fair Cleopatra was played by an English woman. Jesus was always played white English/American actors too.

I agree about the current bond though oz. He's got the personality of a plank. Wasn't bond meant to be Scottish anyway?

I used to read the James Bond books as a kid and the story lines are often very different to the films, but James Bond just has to be a white middle class Englishman even when the actor playing him is really Scottish.

A black James Bond just doesn't work.
