He has learned much from the Rangers managers manner of doing things. By saying he was leaving he may please the fans and force the club to act, either way he does not lose out financially and they take the blame.
A better man takes over.

Another display off the contempt the board has for its staff. While never being 100% behind A.J.,finding out by text 5 minutes after deadline that a player has been sold whom you did not know was up for sale absolutely stinks and is just another action by M.J.and the board who seem to not care about their staff.I would have done the same as Allen, and would wish him all the best where ever he lands. If history is repeated he will come back and haunt us like so many ex killie men do,i.e.Harkins,who went to Dundee and nearly cost us our S.P.L.place last year with his goal.:blue: :blue:

Robbie was out of contract in the summer and had intimated he would be off, although he hoped England, Celtic came in and offered 150,000, development player. The arabs promised him, first team football if his form was consistent and wouldnt stand in his way when England came calling (Killie sell on clause?)
Overheard his gran say in geoffs butchers in shortlees that he had learnt more at his last boys team than he did under Johnstons tenure at killie, (coaching non existent? would make sense, because no youngsters seem to have improved!!):? Also Keep hearing we only have one recognized striker in miller, McKenzie came through the ranks playing upfront and scoring at a decent rate yet is now seen as a winger. I sincerely hope we appoint a manager with a mandate to copy Hamilton, Dundee Utd etc and bring through the youth with an experienced spine, with the view to sell on and repeat!! Gary Holt's killie through and through, Scottish cup winner, coaching/ managerial experience lets
