So, the game wasn't televised live over here- but on a six hour delay- brutal trying to stay away from the Internet.
Perhaps worse, it was only on standard definition tv. I can remember thinking TV was brilliant 10 years ago- it wasn't! Our entire mid-field all look alike on standard def- Biton excluded- on the full screen shots.
Anyway, that was much better than I expected. I thought Delia would have a go at them as he must of thought "why not" and he did. Instead of the 1-3 humping I had expected they managed a very nice result.
Most pleasing was the pace, fitness, and positioning of Celtic all night long. That they kept it up for 90 min was astonishing- Delia's diets and fitness regime paid off last night good style.
Close behind that was Celtic's close control of the ball. While no one can be perfect in a game of that pace Celtic looked as good as Inter.
It was nice to see Celtic force Inter into as many mistakes as Celtic had last night. We usually need a bit of luck
