He's quickly becoming the favourite out of nowhere, which normally tells a story. Has strong links with Arnesen who is consulting with Congerton over the next Sunderland appointment!

With his odds now slashed to 3/1, that's a lot of activity in a short space of time.

Must admit, this appointment would excite me if it happened, especially with Short set to flash the cash.

However, we'll probably end up with Mike Bassett no doubt! XD

D1ck has been consulting on it too. I like this approach by the club. Talking to different people in the sport. I'm all for a methodical approach and talking to people who have a lot of experience.

Dick was here only a short time but it looks like he has took the club to his heart... "The Passion of the Fans at Sunderland is greater than anything I have experienced anywhere in the world"... they are words spoken by Dick to a journalist in Holland 2 days a go.

See the two threads on RTG, they were placing bets and watching the price shorten yesterday.

Bookies just lay off bets. If enough lamped money on the pope his odds would shorten but it aint gonna happen.
