What do you think of the new design ? - It's not finished yet with many of the tools to be added by FootyMad

Widely differing views and entirely predictable !

I quite like the new design and it is much better than trying to fight off adverts every 2 or 3 seconds!

Like the new team at Palmy, I think we need to give it time.

Hopefully it will grow on me just takes a bit getting used to

Is there a function that allows me to have it as the "OLD" style? If not not to my liking however I'm "Old Foagie" status now, maybe the "Younger Guns" will approve. Guess FOOTYMAD need to do something to counter other Social Media Platforms.

It's not the best when you're using your smart phone . Far better on the PC or iPad

"It's not finished yet with many of the tools to be added by FootyMad"

Hopefully these will include the "previous" and "next" thread option at the end of a thread because, as it stands this is hopeless having to go back to forum home page after each thread. Also having to log in to get certain options is a drag.
Apart from that great...or am I being facetious?

I like it.

Believe I am not moaning for the sake of it but I typed out a post ( not too long ) and it said it was not posted because letters had exceeded the body .

Cool

I prefer the new mobile design with the poster's above his/her post instead of in a separate column.

However, I've noticed that external links are not always shown. I post an external link to the latest tables on the Predictor thread and a YouTube video link on the highlights thread. These are shown OK when browsing on a PC but not on my phone and not always on my tablet.

On a tablet in portrait mode they're not shown until you rotate into landscape. On my phone the links do not appear at all. Both are Android devices and I'm using Chrome.

Thanks QOS1 - any feedback is welcome and will be passed on to the engineers at Footymad

Admin- can you find out why you can't post anything other than a couple of words from a smartphone pal ? Maybe just teething problems in starting up

Very poor, a basic design that looks like it was developed in the 1990s.

Well don't blame me chaps - I have tried my best and made loads of suggestions which have all been rejected.

We almost shut down the site a couple of weeks ago over disagreements with FootyMad HQ but have been persuaded to keep the Message Board going.

If anyone would like to have a go at running the site then let us know - you are welcome to what at times is a thankless task !

Not keen on the new design, didn't think there was anything wrong with the way it was if I'm honest.

No one has blamed you or had a pop at you personally. Therefore I find it rather bizarre you are getting a bit arsey towards those who haven't given positive feedback. I don't imagine it's the most thankful of tasks keeping the site up and running, but as the moderator you aren't exactly making life easy for yourself when you have a pop at folk for giving their honest answer to a question you've asked :/

First impressions - quite good. Simple and not gimmicky. One small complaint after a quick look, it would be nice if the photo gallery at the top of the Forum Home page was relevant to Queen of the South as the "old" Message Board was.

Preferred the old one.

The avatar facility is now up and running - those who qualify are invited to enter one via Control - you must have posted at least 250 posts to qualify - keep the feedback coming - and contrary to the usual suspects all comments positive or negative are welcome.

Once things settle down Chippy the photos will upgrade - most of the old tools, bells and whistles will return

Much prefer this new format to the old one. Very clean and easy to navigate.

I can easily imagine its thankless trying to run a site like this. I can similarly imagine assorted other things being the admin & few of them would be fun

Re the new format I probably prefer it to the old format. It seems a simpler layout to me. Something I personally think (and its just a personal opinion) is that the photos at the top would be better removed so there is less scrolling down needed to read the assorted messages.

we are all creatures of habit, many of us dont like change but we get used to it and suddenly it becomes the 'best'. Hate to think how many times I've thrown a strop at facebook changes but Im still using it..... lol
Anyhow the content is more important than the look :)

Your views are welcome Tigerqueen and the site is slowly evolving. I have thrown everything at FootyMad with suggestions but they have all been rejected.
