Both teams played out a goalless draw on Tuesday night 18th August. Although Forest started the brighter, Charlton had the better chances to score and win the match and were held off by the heroics of the Notts Forest keeper, Dorus de Vries in the 2nd half who saved from Makienok and Patrick Bauer and Gudmundsson's free kick eluded any Charlton players.
Also two clean sheets now for Nick Pope and a good start for the young GK.
Charlton remain 5th in the table on 5 points after 3 games.
Charlton players: Pope, Solly, Diarra, Bauer, Fox, Gudmundsson, Kashi, Cousins, Ceballos (Bergdich 86), Watt (Ghoochannejhad 64 (Ahearne-Grant 84)), Makienok.
