According to some guy on Radio Stoke, the board are waiting for compulsory purchase of the ground for the H.S.T project so it seems we are in for a long wait for any improvement.Perhaps we will be able to ground share with Nantwich by then.

As a shareholder, I have always considered this to be the ultimate aim of the board. The ground is protected should CAFC go into administration - why else did all the fixed assets of CAFC get transferred ?

I don't know how this rumour was spread about as the plan was not to go near to our ground at all and if there was then Rail House would have to be demolished as well and nobody has suggested that. The new HS2 hub IF it gets the go ahead for Crewe was going to be located at Basford Sidings which is some way from the ground and then partly underground track from that point for a couple of miles to the Parkers Bridge vicinity in Coppenhall a couple of miles away to the North. Anyway the council are looking to allow the building of hundreds of houses around vast areas of land in that area and then eastwards and why a new ring road is being built as we speak to connect to the Shavington/Nantwi
