There was a scare at the Alex today, when one of the players noticed a white substance on the pitch, they were taken off the pitch, and MI5 were called in.
They took away some of the powder for analysis, and test`s revealed it was harmless to the Alex players,as it was from the goal area, and as they had no chance of getting near it,they were in no danger.

The real scare would be spending 'slightly over budget'. Can't have that can we? Far better to lose far more money playing southern based League 2 teams. Wakey, wakey.........

How come Coventry, who owe monry left right and centre, are able to bring in young Jacob Murphy from Norwich.,who score`s a hat-trick in his first match for them.
It`s all well and good saying it`s not the Crewe way,but will you be sayig that when we drop down.
We need action now not when it`s too late.

With the way that things are going, the only action we are likely to see is a dwindling crowd and the sale of Ben Garrett followed by relegation.
Maybe Dario could come back as our saviour and put some of the fortune he has amassed from the club back in to change things. Oh, I forgot, it's all about the Academy. In that case maybe we ought to register the likes of Artell, Lunt, Bell, etc as player/coaches.

You may well also remember that when Dario took over we had very little money, but that during his time he generated enough money to virtually rebuild the crumbling and out of date little stadium. At the same time as that he tutored six players brought in for nothing who went on to play for England together with quite a few more who went on to play in a higher grade of football

That was in a very different era though.

all, it's something that I've brought into discussion an numerous occassions that we have gone away from bringing in players released by top sides (likes of Lennon, Savage, etc) and giving them a chance to throwing our kids in when they aren't ready. Remember, Dario would put players like David Vaughan in the team for 3 or 4 matches to get a feel for the pro game and then take out of the firing line to work on what they needed to to be ready for their main chance.

Different but very much better for CAFC I suggest.
