Whenever we talk about the manager one of the things that gets trotted out is "Who could do a better job?"

Surely Steve Cotterill, now out of work, has a attack record of lower league success, playing attacking football and using (and ,importantly, developing) youth players. Add to that CV that he also let down Stoke once and you've got yourself a fine candidate.

A manager who had a charisma bypass, but O.K., it could work if we wanted another Gudjon (no play on words, because for sure he was a bad yin).

Alas, this is pie in the sky. We don't buy into this manager-go-round. With hardly a worse record than SD over the last 20 games, Dunn gets his jotters from Oldham. And back comes already one-time loser with Oldham, Sheridan. But this will give them a quick ten points or so to avoid relegation.

We'll never get these quick ten points or so, however discreditably they are obtained, without sacking SD. That is, we're down.
