Loads were culled and this includes Torquay

Non modded boards and boards with little MOD activity had to go for legal reasons.

i.e. to have a forum you need a MOD to MOD (obviously)

When the Riviera went bang it was a good job I applied to be a MOD as this would have gone too, unless someone else applied of course

My gripe is, why not warn folk of this on the sites in question instead of imposing a global ban? How the heck are we supposed to mind read what they are thinking?

The way most folk looked at it was, if the Board is there it is OK to us it. A reasonable assumption, but wrong as it seems.

I think we gave them a fright and were worried about libelous content being posted...not that we would, but others could....Munch type folk for example.

I think that is why they did it so quickly.

I am led to believe that the cull was already in process and you guys just happened along at the wrong time

The cull does at least show how depleted the boards have become recently

That was a great vibrant board which I used to post on and had a bit of a laugh with Vardy and Ian_From_Wycombe to just two

So there is a MOD there at least now

There was a little disturbance on account of some Mods seemed absent and those that were around disagreed with us on something which led to a ban for two of us. I then found sanctuary on East Fife, mainly because I discovered it was empty apart from an OTR post that was nearly 2 years old (gets around does that old ****) and it kinda of snowballed from there into quite a jolly discussion group, then HQ must have sussed that there was activity where there was none and promptly shut it down with no warning.

There is some spikeyness between a few of us and one opinionated poster (nos no pack drill) and a few really irritating ****s who started endless threads about nothing, though these have disappeared.

Its just nice to broaden ones horizons and have a chit chat. Hopefully you will appreciate our banter :D :D :D :D

A lot of foreign policy has gone tits up through the mantra of supporting an enemy or was a bigger enemies enemy! The current situation in Syria is a prime example of that.

One board that they are not culling is the Leicester City board. Nobody posts there and it is definitely not moderated, so Footymad have taken it upon themselves to make occasional posts which no one answers. Must be the Vardy Effect.:)
