That's just embarrassing that you're trying to make that about Rangers.

I'm sure the guy who made the decision thinks he's being inclusive and liberal but all he's done is show himself up for being prejudiced.

Turning your nose up at a donation suggests the guys in the wrong job.

why would he show himself up for being prejudiced.

why would he show himself up for being prejudiced.

Because he's discriminating against a certain group of society.

happytim
16-03-2016, 11:25 PM
and this group of society discriminates against other sections of society.

so maybe hes making a point of discrimination being unnacceptable.

...but he's making his point by discriminating ..its like showing violence is bad by beating the Shiite out of a violent man.

Own goal.

So he'd be discriminating is he refused a donation from the KKK, or the Na[size=3]zi party, or ISIS?
Away you ya balloon.
The orange order are a bunch of bigots. It is their raison d'etre. What right-minded person would condone such a group??? (That was a rhetorical question by the way, since the answer is obviously no-one...)
Supporting religious bigotry against any group is not acceptable. Taking this group's filthy money would be condoning their activities.
Phil was correct in his actions.

As an aside, I'll have to have a wee read of that article just to see who it 'sparked fury' amon[s

the article says the 'donation' was to pay for the removal and destruction of the statue of Robert The Bruce.

Oh ma sides!

"Politically, the Orange Order is a conservative British unionist organisation[3][4] with links to Ulster loyalism. It campaigned against Scottish independence in 2014.[5] The Order sees itself as defending Protestant civil and religious liberties, whilst critics accuse the Order of being sectarian, triumphalist[6][7][8][9] and supremacist.[9][10][11][12] It has also been criticised for associating with loyalist paramilitary groups. As a Protestant society, it does not accept non-Protestants as members unless they convert and adhere to the principles of Orangeism, nor does it accept Protestants married to Catholics"

This to neilo is "Civil and Religious Liberty for all" - well all except for those who aren't Protestants obviously. XD
