Wonderful Home stuff, a rare Charlton win and even the protester spoilers couldn't upset the outcome giving Charlton a chance of staying up, helped by the return of Jordan Cousins to the starting 11.

The Charlton players brushed aside the four minute delay caused by protesters but Toral scored first for Birmingham on 33 minutes.

Gudmundsson then scored with a bullet strike which took a slight deflection as it landed in the back of the net past the Brum goalie Tomasz Kuszczak on 38 minutes so it was all square going into the 2nd half.

The Add1cks probably had the better of the chances in the last 45 minutes, it wasn't until the 94th minute that the excellent Lookman picked out Teixeira at the far post who powered a bullet header into the net to score his second goal in front of the North Stand. It took until the 98th minute when referee Tierney finally blew his whistle leading to europhic celebrations around the Valley.
