Millers 6-0 Chelsea

One for us older ones to think back to when we were playing as we are now, commitment with enjoyment.

Showing my age now - but didn't we also turn them over 4-1 at Stamford Bridge in the same season?

Yes, we did turn them over 1-4 at Stamford Bridge later in the season and in response to 6-0 thrashing there was some graffiti on the wall at the back of the stand saying "Rotherham must die".

I see - taking defeat with good grace then? One of my work colleagues back then was an active member of the Leeds Service Crew and he said that Chelsea were one of the clubs they would seek out for.....er.......something akin to 'fisticuffs in the Quad at six o'clock' - but without the gentlemen's Queensbury rules of course...

Simon Hooper is ref for this game.

It's getting serious now, all Saturday's games have a match observer.

They (most) still won't learn anything and still be rubbish next season so pointless observer being there.

Should do away with useless lino's next season, been pointless most of them

Looking at some of the Forest forums, there's still some concern about them not being safe yet despite the 9 point cushion they share with us and Huddersfield. They've only won 1 out of their last 9 and go to MK last day of season.

Can't remember last time we beat Forest but hopefully it will come on Saturday and push us up a few places that this incredible run deserves.

Saturday's games are key. Charlton & MK have tough games but if one of them do squeeze a win and we beat Florest, it will be squeaky bum time at the City ground. One win and a draw from the last 11 games & 4 defeats on the bounce is ominous at this stage of the season.

I think it's great to be celebrating lifting the Auto Windscreens Shield in front of the away fans of a team that won back to back European Cups in the not to distant past.

It's a nice reminder of how far both clubs have come and how things can change in football.

Deepmidwinter

We take 3000 to MK and then can't fill our allocation for a game against Forest after the run we've been on. Poor showing indeed. I expect someone will come up with the argument that this proves that TS should spend millions extending the ground because he couldn't get his 16 nephews who come over from Australia every ten years seats together on the halfway line.

I don't see why little Rolf, Jason, Russel, Shane, Hugh, Heath, Errol, Donald, Richie, Rod, Pat, Gough, Barry, Paul and the twins Steve and Mark should have to sit apart :blue:

Any update on tickets sold topsy ?

A win today moves us up at least 2 places regardless of any other results. All to play for.

Just my point frank with all this ground extention talk...always had a great away following compared to home support...billy mcewans 4th division champions..last or one of the last games, 9000 odd..porterfields 3rd division champions, 11000 odd..ronnie moore used to moan about 6000 turning up and rightly so..all this at millmoor with poor toilets etc ...but we're still not filling this new ground..we are what we are and its much better than dv..up the millers...

Casper64Frank
16-04-2016, 07:27 AM
True milla, totally agree. The other thread re the extension was an hypothetical one. T.S. should not consider extending till there are 9,000 - 10,000 season ticket holders.
it 's not going to happen any time soon.

Fulham lost 5-0 last night. Beat Forest & if results go our way we could move up more than 2 places.

I'd say about 100 tickets left this morning which hopefully will be gone at KO.

2:45 to see Clarke, Jemson, Blades, Roscoe, Garner, Richardson and Berry.

Minute silence for Ken Waterhouse before KO

COME ON YOU MILLERS!
