I went to Borneo(a few miles out of Kota Kinabula) for part of my honeymoon in 2012.

Me and (the newly) Mrs Pac sat on the beach with a couple of drinks one night so i could catch that photo as we kept seeing it from the balcony every night but it was obscured by trees and i had to get a photo. Never thought id get as good as that. Looks like the four horsemen are away to appear.

Always wanted to frame it for my man room

Best pic i ever took was of my son running towards me down at the local park.

He's laughing and i capture it perfectly with his hair in the air so to speak.

I used an app and made the background black and white while i kept him in colour.

Made it into a canvas and it hangs on our downstairs hall.

Beautiful.

I use a Nikon D3000 and shoot mostly in raw. I use lightroom for post processing and it helps me get the balance for the sunsets like above. The one of my dog was experimental but worked quite well i think. Will likely just stick to the landscapes. Have a good few more but wont take up the whole thread haha.

I can understand that totally. The Nikon I have isn't built for hoofing long distances like. Saying that, their are plenty cameras that shoot in RAW that aren't massive in size. If yours shoots in RAW, you can edit as much as you like to get the scene as close to as it was at the time.

Where did you see that Pacman,wandering randomly,or in a field? Met that one in a herd of around 30 near the summit of Devils Point,Lairig Ghru.Not as docile as they appear.Been know to go for people occasionally

Took him down to Monkey World in Dorset over the weekend for his birthday. Had to fly to Bristol so halfway between Bristol and Poole(where we were staying) is Shaftesbury where the famous Gold Hill is and that advert was filmed.

Its steep as f@ck. Dorset is a really nice part of the world for the record

It was a fishing village until it was battered by the great storm in 1953. Its a holiday town now. We only saw a German wifey walking her dog in the 2 hours we were there

Cars cant go down as the road is blocked these days.

Always see that place when we are out fishing. If it's oor windy out at sea we usually go pretty close in there for a look. Must of been some storm in 53 if it pretty much left the place deserted. Does look a bit precarious I suppose. If the tsunami doesn't get you the mudslide certainly will. A right shame that most of our coastal towns and villages have been neglected. Macduff used to be a thriving wee place back in the day. Seafront is nothing but a burned down hotel and some dodgy looking take away shops now.

Aye Macduff is a hole. The street contiguous to the harbour is a bit of a dump. I was looking for somewhere for lunch there but thought better of it. Ended up in Buckleys in Turrah instead (it was very good for the record)
