A big goal scoring centre forward would be welcome, who can head & hold the ball up in the game, not many out there, to me a bid for James Hanson at Bradford, 28 years old & in his last year of his contract, worth a risk.

Seen the young Spaniard Sergii Canos playing for Norwich City U-21s today. He's a right winger/right midfield, but also scored a great goal with his left foot . If we can't get Grant Ward, he might be a potential loan signing, although Norwich probably wouldn't loan him to a team in the same division.

Duncan watmore is a striker for Sunderland who also plays for England under 21s never seen him play for Sunderland due to others taking the spot but I saw him on tv for England he's a bit rough around the edges but he is young and has talent I'd put him on par with grant ward

I don't like signing players from same league as it is I think you need to buy better players than your compition not take their cast offs

And I wouldn't want fondre too much money in wages and He may not be what he was.

What we need are young talented players and most of all a striker who can shoot on target.. Lots of shots last season that went everywhere but the net.

We are all (including me) hoping that Grant will return for another season, but why would he? He's been there, done that heroic anti-relegation stuff, so surely he would be looking to show his talents in a team with more potential. He's got to be ambitious, and the top end of the Chumpship has got to be a better shop window.

Absolutely correct,which is why i"d put a bid in for Gboly Ariyibi.Very similar player,pacey,direct,and has a trick or two.Ward was probably our main provider last season,will be a big loss.

Is Nuhiu available? If so he'd definitely be worth a punt.
McGugan would be a great addition but he'll probably get better offers than we are prepared to make.
I'd love to see Grant Ward back but now that we've said we're after him, other clubs will probably start sniffing around.
I know very little about Scottish football but wouldn't be surprised if one of our striker targets is from north of the border. I also wouldn't be surprised if a few more of our recruits come from that part of the world as they're bound to be cheap (cost effective?!).
I just wish we'd get on with it.

Mattock will play every game when he's fit. Which from past 3/4 seasons is about 30 games. Newell can cover LB but his game to injury record is about the same.
TBH I'm happy with the squad regards starting 11. It's the players in depth were lacking. With what we got we have plan A. If that doesn't work were screwed.

I did a posting about Duane Holmes last season Millertop, my son coached him from junior level for Altofts juniors, until Huddersfield Town come knocking at the door for him, made into the Huddersfield first team, had some good games, never forgot what my son did for him, always a pair of tickets for the Huddersfield games.
Sadly Huddersfield let him go, & the iron signed him, a good lad, American father & English mother.

Adam Armstrong the Newcastle United forward & under 19 English international is getting quite a lot of attention, with a host of clubs interested in taking the 19 year old on loan.
Might be surplus to requirements at Newcastle, who could let him out on loan again, after scoring 20 goals on loan last season at Coventry City.
