He has my sympathy. Our diehard away fans are largely a bunch of hooligans who think they own the club simply becasue they like to go on boozy away trips. Zippy is one of the few decent ones I've encountered.

Hard to take when we see a performance like that. Still, there is a section of our fan base who are vile and moronic. Maybe all clubs have them but there is no excuse nor does any good come from behaviour like this.

Easy to support and sing your hearts out at Wembley. Not so easy when your team, hit by injuries, being in transition, with a new manager and with new players, getting thumped in a local Derby. There is still no excuse for berating Stubbs like that imo. Most of those idiots have probably achieved jack shot in their own lives.

I was annoyed as anybody on Saturday but the abuse Stubbs got is just not acceptable.

Some of the things shouted were just vile one idiot even made reference to his illness he had.

Truly shocking.

Monty is a Rotherham supporter without any doubt whatsoever.

I would have thought that was obvious.

It was their day certainly wasnt ours Lady Luck saw to that, answer to all is stop giving the ball away we were very guilty of doing that and Barnsley fed on it,quick on the break and capitalised on it.Though we werent brilliant we did ok till the second goal,up to that point I was reasonably happy and would have settled for a point, but well done Barnsley it was your day.Not the end of the world for us,we have to regroup and work hard to recover from a bad day.

it could be a blessing in disguise imagine if we would have lost 1-0 , Stubbs might have thought oh the team is ok wont bring anyone in now we got a hammering he will definitely open up TS checkbook , Ryan Kent was fantastic why does Stubbs not go to his big contacts at Everton and get some of there best youngsters.
He could have acted a month ago and brought in Left back Luke Garbutt in who now has gone to Wigan.

I think Gregory will arrive in a 1m deal and a left back as he does not seem to rate Mattock

I think we have a right to tell Stubbs what we think, especially after a performance like that. Personal abuse is unwarranted and a disgrace, but being angry and venting your anger is completely acceptable.

I paid my money, like a lot of people, and I have the right to tell him that he's bought 10 players and they're all useless. He's playing a system that doesn't work. He's bought 5 central midfielders and no strikers despite having one fit first team striker and one youth player who's played about 5 games. It's also not long before Danny Ward injures his back, or hamstring, or breaks a nail rendering him unable to play for a month. Then what are we left with, Jerry Yates?

We're going down the road of Evans under Stubbs. He's bought 10 players (whether we needed that many or not I don't know) but after the Barnsley result he's just said he's going to move some out and buy some more. Who does that sound like? He buys a load of players, they don't work, he moves them out and replaces them. It's shocking management.

He's evidently a different manager to Warnock, but we've gone from Warnock saying "we only need 4 or 5 players" to Stubbs bringing in loads and wanting loads more and wanting to ship a few out already. It's bizarre.

Unless something miraculous happens I can't see us finishing anywhere but bottom of the league.

That's the nature of some of our fans though Kempo. Have a different opinion to them and you get called a pig fan. Pathetic really.
For what it's worth I agree with Monty about some of our away fans. Witnessed it first hand on Saturday. About 4 of our boozed up fans were stood up blocking others view. They were asked by 1 guy politely to sit down. The reply was Feck off Knobhead were are away. Luckily they moved somewhere else. Utter morons.

So you agree that our 'die hard' away fans are largely a bunch of drunken hooligans then? Don't be daft. Its a small percentage of idiots that go to a minority of the away games. These aren't the 'die hard' fans. I don't care what Monty says anymore. I won't change my opinion. While Kempo stimulates debate (most of the time), Monty can't be a true Rotherham supporter. He is just an internet troll. Pathetic really!!!!!!!!

Kempo don't be so sure Monty is a Rotherham fan, I doubt very much he is.

To say Zippy is the is one of the few decent away fans is ill informed and rubbish to boot.

Vast majority of away fans are brilliant people and great ambassadors for the club.

Yes we have some idiots but these are definitely in the minority.

Just another example of Monty trying to rile people up.

Don't nail your colours to his mast Kempo, most of us on here know you're a good poster and enjoy your contributions.

Monty on the other hand is a pariah who offers nothing to the site.

I did walk up to the tunnel on way out and yes I shouted at some players to put the effort in, also clapped the odd few who deserved it but I don't agree with the ones who only had one worded sentence (wan ker) drunk is just an excuse

I wasn't drunk i stood at the front at the end of the game and vented my anger . Does that make me a moron.. How many of you went to Brighton ? and will be at Blackburn and Huddersfield . I pay my money and do what i want. I didn't break any laws or encroach onto the pitch . I also clapped Izzy brown and shouted it wasn't his fault and to keep trying.

You're in the great ambassadors camp Millertop.

Nothing wrong with showing frustration and asking for more effort.

That's a world away from screaming personal abuse at players/management and owners.

Well whoever turns round and ever says that to me will be wishing they hadn't cos I'll be getting escorted out for given them a wonderful left hook straight right to jaw b4 dragging the C@nt all over stand
.some people don't think who they say vile shXt to.
I wouldn't dream of saying something like that to someone and certainly wouldn't put up with it flying my direction.
