devils advocate. If everyone stops paying for sky/virgin/bt etc

football amongst other things is going to suffer badly.

some may say it will be the saving of it

who knows

.. they're getting way too greedy and this playing in Asia etc sh1te is beyond a joke .. At least I don't have to worry about the Champion's League. Mind you, I would boycott watching any games like that. They won't have me getting popups of their advertising on the free stream ..

.. and that is some XMBC thread on there ..

Irrespective of which "all in one ' build you use i.e. Beast, Pulse, Ares etc....... opt for stand alone builds / wizards for sports.

This one's good.... from the Aeuko wizard and install instructions are in the link

More suggestions here....

Any decent android box does the job... ditto Firestick. BTW, Sky have between 5 and 6 million subscribers to sports packages, + worldwide subscribers so I somehow doubt punters using android boxes etc will affect it one iota.

I`ve found the best simple advice is here https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-how-to-install-ares-wizard-kodi/

From Ares you can try the different types/builds of kodi. if you`re getting a cheapish media box £25-30 i`d recommend a lighter build like Apollo. Pulse CCM is popular as is CCM lite. It`s well worth spending the extra £15 to get at least 2Gb RAM, most of the cheap ones have 1Gb. Spend a bit more and get a better box for more reliable performance. I use Kodi jarvis 16.1 on a quad core pc through my hifi and tv, pretty reasonable performance. The beauty of a "wizard" like ARES wizard is you can carry out maintenance, clean the memory etc. Hope that`s useful to someone.;D

.. the box will usually pay for itself in a month by the amount of stuff you can watch if not before..

IPTV is the way forward.I have it running on my smart tv.Paid 60 quid for 12mth.Got everything.Channels from all over the world. No buffering, movies, box sets the lot.
When I was running kodi,I was getting nothing but problems.
Quality is unreal as well. All Sports on there.Even has 6 bookmakers tv channels for those that like a bet.
