Because we are so crap folks are asking when Blackstock will make an appearance .

However our problems are the ease that we concede goals, not with scoring.

So who would give way to allow Blackstock to start a game?

Ward? Currently scoring and our leading scorer?

Izzy Brown? Currently our best if not outstanding best player?

Changed the formation? A " defence" of 9 players is currently shipping goals so a more attacking formation might see us let even more goals in.

Bearing in mind we have one of the best keepers in the division but we still let in on average 2.5 goals per game.

In my mind Blackstock playing or not playing is a complete smokescreen.

If he played we would still lose heavily.

Blackstock might not even be a "Stubbs signing" for all we know. Stubbs obviously wanted to play 4-5-1 originally, then modified it to sort of a 4-4-1-1.... not sure iif Blackstock even fits into that. Stubbs may already regard Blackstock as "extra" backup. He won;t sign a tackling midfielder for some ttrange reason, so we'd have been better off signing a proper left back

.... which it is rumoured that we tried to do (too late). Also would explain why Stubbs does not seem too perturbed by Blackstock's injury.
