Watching the Quo while steaming at Donington in 2014 was f@cking ace and will live in my memory for a long time

me and an old mate in about 83' when we were 10 ( were no longer mates) used to stand in his mothers bedroom ( it had a record player in it) with brush poles as guitars and mimed to quo's 12 gold bars, he was rossi i was parfitt , great days .

Sad to hear about mr Parfitt. Mind watching a documentary about the Quo and it went into great depth about some of the chord fingerings and how he was able to come up with difficult shapes due to his huge, huge, huge hands.

OK I didnt see this one coming and didnt mean to preempt anything, but just been announced. George Michael has rolled off the mortal coil. RIP. Cancer got another one.

Jesus, Last Christmas right enough. That is a bit of a shocker. I think 2016 has seen off enough folk now.

We were watching some crappy Christmas hits programme on Cooncil TV earlier tonight, and 85vintage said, "I think he'll be next".

I'd like to combine two threads and have a mention of The Red Army Choir in the pop/rock death category.

I actually own some Red Army Choir product, from the late 50's or early 60's, inherited from my dad.

The massed ranks singing Kalinka, played very loud, immense. B)
