Ikeme has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract, with a further year’s option in the club’s favour. Good news for the player.

I'm sure it is, but is it good news for us? Just asking like.

At the moment he has the shirt, i feel if Wolves are ever to progress and improve, we do need to look at another keeper who offers competition, but there's also other areas that need addressing firs, especially at the back.

I guess he might turn out to be a half decent keeper with a defense in front of him.

I don't think he' done bad at all, my main concern really is when a corner comes in, sometimes he's rooted the goal-line. He's done well considering he was a No2 for years.

Although it means absolutely nothing in football these days, I've always liked Carl Ikeme for the reason he seems honest, he's likeable.

We could do a lot worse.

I also liked him as the boyfriend of Rose, one of David Tennant's first Earth pals as Dr Who.

He saved more than he's cost us in games, it's easy for fans to be critical in games, one mistake can prove to be costly. He's had to bide his time down the years and come through.
