The best way not to get caught is " DONT DO IT "
I've no sympathy at all for anyone who gets caught. Deserve all they get.

They should also prosecute the people who think it is ok to just pull in anywhere to use their phone and hold up everyone else

If you've pulled over to use your phone and the engine is running you will still be prosecuted....

If in doubt take the key out....

Anyone caught using a mobile whilst physically driving should receive a month's ban ..... that would send the message home

£200 fine is not enough. No excuse for using a mobile phone whilst driving.

If you don`t have Bluetooth access in the car you can buy a decent hands-free kit from Amazon for £20, even then you take the chance of being distracted.
No sympathy for anyone that gets caught. Make them take another driving test or make them pay to go on a Safety Awareness Course if they refuse ban them.

I think more might be worried about the points than money and then there's them that won't give a sh ite anyway and still carry on driving when they get disqualified

All very interesting are these replies.

My question is "who the hell is doing it?"

Obviously not Millersmad posters.

Good question, stat on the news just said that 91% of people supported this, but that 31% actually admitted to doing it themselves.....

Yep, weird isn't it?

Only today I was parking up in the supermarket car park. The guy across from me put his bags in the boot, got in his car, picked up the phone and drove off steering with one hand, phone pressed to ear.

So that bozo was initially stationary in a car, safely parked up, obstructing nobody but he still decided that he wanted to drive and phone at the same time.
