It is a lovely film.
The lad with the autograph book looking through the fence is a mate of mine, his name is Pete. About five years ago I bought him the DVD for Christmas, I don't think it was on the net then. He was dead chuffed because it meant he could show it to his family.
Thanks for the link Wolf.

How times have changed. Hardly a superstar lifestyle was it? I wonder what sort of money players of that ilk would be earning today.

It was all terribly civilised. I didnt recognise that was Don Howe. I wonder if that was the same house he lived in in later life? I think he always lived in Wolvo.

Thanks for asking about Euan mate. He is a little better, good days and bad days depending on the depression. He does seem to be getting out a bit more though.

Glad you enjoyed the film.

I think you can say, with almost certainty, they wouldn't be playing for us today, Chelski, Manure and the likes would have pinched them.

Davy Burnside?

Yes I think it is. He has a bit of west country accent and I think he was from Bristol. Who is the lad at 5:35?

I'm sure that's Alec Jackson (Jacko) who was my favourite player of that time.

Yes but nothing like I remember. He had quite a career-

Albion, Blues, Nuneaton Borough, Kidderminster Harriers, Warley, Oldbury Town, Warley Borough, Darlaston, Blakenhall, Lower Gornal, Rushall Olympic and Bush Rangers.

After his professional football career was over, Jackson went on to work on the track, making cars at the Austin works in Longbridge, (Wikipeedia)
