I think he's a very smart man, more clever than people realize...

At least he wouldn't be boring. And politics would be more entertaining, after Dianne Abott of course.

That interview certainly aint done himself any favours. Nevertheless May has to go soon, Probably Davis as the next leader but Rees-Mogg is worth a punt.

I never really thought about it that way, sounds very reasonable. Let's have a fun PM like Boris in charge.

That would be a catastrophe, in my foreign point of view ;-)

When it comes to Prime Ministers or 'Head of Government' perhaps we should use the football manager system and pay for services supplied even if it was someone from overseas...preferably a Commonwealth country...stand more chance of getting the right man for the job.

He might act a bit of a buffoon, but he's a very clever cookie and he has what May does not have - charisma and warmth.

dont think Boris will make the top job myself, last of the bullingdon mob and cant see the torys making a return to that click Davis as you say would be a good fit,a proper brexiteer but i think his time has passed due to his age,Rees Mogg?i like him another true brexiteer and am suprised hes never been offered a cabinet post never gets ruffled always concise and fully armed with answers in every debate

Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson and Jacob Rees-Mogg mentioned as contenders for the next Tory leader/Prime Minister.

If either of the arrogant, pompous, supercilious @rseholes gets the top job then we really must be in the brown and sticky stuff; and if we’re not yet we soon would be.

Dig a little deeper than smooth and in Boris’s case not so smooth interview styles and people will see both for what they are…….polished performers playing a part for the cameras. Even more so than most politicians, the majority of whom I wouldn't trust not to steal the false teeth from my grandparents. And they've all be dead for years!

They have their books they have their friends and their associates, yet they have little time for anything else or anyone outside of the ‘inner circle’. If either is the answer then I’m absolutely fkd if I know what the question could have been.

Crikey. Time for bed and a restless night’s sleep in the knowledge that people believe in either of them beyond tub thumping in the case of one and smarmy condescension in the case of the other.

We’m fkd I tells yah, well and truly fkd.

Interesting that you should mention Corbyn, I didn't as the thread's about Boris Johnson and then expanded to include Rees-Mogg :) .

Whoever ran his campaign knows how to manipulate/utilise social media, something which clearly flew over the cuckoo nest of Tory HQ.

And the spin continues despite the disparity between both parties at the polls.

As for Abbopopotamus, Watson, Thornberry and Starmer et.al, well I'm not overly enamoured with them either.

Don't confuse my contempt for the Tories mentioned for any close affinity to what the Labour Party has become (if you were that is.....) .

And I hope nobody asks me who I voted for as it's nobody's business but mine :P .

If Boris isn't a stupid buffoon then why does he portray himself as one? Only a stupid buffoon would do that.
They could give the job to the cute lass who leads the DUP. That would help keep them onside.

I really don't get it. The first time I ever saw the pillock was on "Have I Got News For You." I actually thought at the time that he was a sort of spoof MP (a bit like an Alan Partridge of Westminster).
Now he's seriously been seen as PM favourite!!!!!!!!!!!!
If a bloke came to me for an interview for a job spreading jam on sandwiches all day, and spoke like him, I'd turn the tw*t down.

If anyone thinks this clown is intelligent they need to get their heads looked at, seriously. Book an appointment asap.

At least he would bow his head in front of the Queen and follow eticate. Soldiers have died for Queen and country and Corbyn disrespects the monarchy. And anything else that isn't communist or socialist.

This is interesting, because I have heard two stories about this. One saying he did, the saying he didn't. Is there any proof for any of them? If it is true then this marxist, leftist, liberal 18th century taking us back to the 60s can do one.

Any videos of him doing this?

Why bring the armed forces subject into someone's apparent lack of respect for the royal family?

Do you believe all young men that join the forces do it because they are fans of the Queen?

Look around and you will see many people who have little time for the "hard working" royals.

A few post on here....

Anyway, I have done a little research and it turns out that Jeremy Corbyn wasn't even meant to bow - and it was Theresa May who broke convention.

In this day and age with so many fake news, twisted stories with click-bait headlines going about - people should really wise up to this and ask themselves why are the papers telling porkies?

Because the majority are owned by one party in particular?
