A lot of people on here have slagged Corbyn for promising to spend money for extra police officers, free tuition fees etc, now we see Mrs week and feeble has had to pay an extra 1 billion pounds to the DUP to try and save her own job, where is this money coming from? what further cuts will have to be made ? how is the deal fair on both Scotland and Wales not to mention the peace deal in Northern Ireland, in my opinion the deal is a total disgrace and unfair on so many levels.

Its probably come from that 'Magic money tree' the Tories kept criticising Corbyn about in the run up to the election

Oh you bunch of luvvies eh :P

Anyway, what happened to the thread about John McDonnell - did it get deleted by baggieal who initially started it? Or did mods remove it? Seems bizzare.

Cant disagree with the main point salt, I cast my vote for the tories but Mother Theresa has just cost the UK tax payer one billion pounds for her mistake in calling the election.

Under any other circumstance May would have been gone by now but the Tories know a new leader would almost certainly mean another election which could mean exactly that, at the moment they are putting self preservation before the good of the country. You only have to look at the queens speech to see they can't bring in any knew polices that might see them being out voted in the commons not to mention all the ones they have had to drop from the manifesto to get this deal done.

It was probably deleted because of the disgusting term he used and because I told him exactly what I thought of it.

Bottom line here is,a billion quid won't bankrupt the country but Corbyns pot of gold at the end of his socialist rainbow would

Too right 53, Corbyn tried to bribe the country with a borrowed £200 billion no less and still lost. Just looked up on how big is a billion and it takes more than 31 years to count to that number!!

Evening saltnshake.

I really cannot see anything but good coming out of this for the people, ALL people, of N.Ireland, as from what I've read, the money is going to be spent on things that other parties are all clamouring for; Education, Health and Infrastructures in the main. Surely that can't be bad, can it?
You question whether this is fair to Wales and Scotland! Wales is run by a devolved Parliament run by the Labour party and what a mess they have made of that; don't get ill if you ever visit. Scotland is governed by a devolved Parliament run by the SNP; they want to break up the UK!
So, best of luck to N.I. I say.

So you are quite happy that the peace processes may collapse? i just think it is a very short term fix to try and keep yourself in a job also when it comes to the next election do you not think people are more likely to vote labour, part of the reason the Tories now have a majority with the DUP's help was they won quite a few seats in Scotland i should imagine that they won't be happy that everyone other than Northern Ireland are still facing cuts.

No, I do not think the peace process will collapse; Sinn Fein would be very silly to force this.

N.I. already get 20 billion, another 1 billion which is over a 2 year period doesn't alter the status quo that much. Wales get 31 billion and Scotland 57 billion.

Buying votes merely to stay in power just doesn't seem right on any level. If N.Ireland deserved/needed more money and it was available then why hadn't it already been allocated to them?

Its a bit different. Everyone had Labours manifesto and had the choice to vote for or against it. No one voted at the election in favour of giving the DUP an extra £1.5b

Some would say we've been DUPed! I do love a Pun! ;D
