Regarding the Celtic game, Shamrock Rovers played a mainly under 19 team with a few trial players against a full strength Celtic side as we had just played a Europa League qualifier 48hrs previous and our first team was rested. I feel this coming Friday we will field a similar team as we are playing in the 2nd qualifying round in Dublin 24 hrs before the Burnley game.

Glad I didn't spend money on flights and game tickets that say we are playing Shamrock when it's Shamshamrock rovers.
It's a Shame for those who have.

"Keep off the taxi doors Hendo!" Barnes cheekily shouted. :D

Talking to two old friends of mine at Turf Moor yesterday and they have just paid the thick end of a grand to go over for the friendlies! :?

Trade Descriptions Act probably doesn't apply there either! We'd better score 10 and not lose anyone to heroic tacklers making a name for themselves.

No waffle lads came the reply. It's Brussel sprouts make me deliver!

First game tomorrow, looking forward to seeing the line ups.

Has D4 been out with Dolly Blue?

Sean watched the real Shamrock lose 3-2 in the Europa League last night and the Shamshamrock game is not live on Clarets player tonight.

Walters scores after 9 mins 0-1

oldcolner
14-07-2017, 06:37 PM
Walters substituted after 34 mins and Aygei on still 0-1 so not doing a Celtic.

oldcolner
14-07-2017, 06:50 PM
Aygei has two shots saved Gray missed a point blank header and has a shot saved.
0-1 at half time.

Ashley controls a long ball from Lowton and curls one in, then Brady gets one following good work by Ward, so after 71 mins it's 0-3

Vokes deflects a Hendricks shot for number 4. I post the screenshot showing wrong scorers to the text.5430

That's how it ends.

I trust Walters substitution was a scheduled replacement, not an injury such as a hammy or the dreaded knee knack?

It seems he is ok. There is now a write up of the game on the thread I posted earlier.

I'd forgotten we still have Ulvestad! :(

I think Freddie and Chris Long could be being replaced - SOON! :s

I'd forgotten about Tom Anderson as well, it seems years since I first saw him in pre-season friendlies, in fact it IS years since I first saw him in pre season friendlies, but he's yet to progress beyond them. No idea how old he is now, he must be Burnley's oldest ****ager, surely it's too late for him to make the breakthrough now, he must be destined for D1/D2 at best.

Quote of the game
"he's obviously finished his homework, and his mums let him play!" when one of the shamrock subs came on!
