Hearing now from a reliable source , that's close to all things Hamilton that Martin Canning is seriously considering offering Paul Quinn a contract at New Douglas Park. I wouldn't be surprised or blame Quinn if he was to accept an offer from them as United are messing him around . If we want him sign him up , regardless of the Donaldson situation!

Can't really blame him, must be frustrating watching us hand contracts to about 6 new players while he's told to wait until we get one out the door.

I hope we sign him but will not be surprised if we dont. That's the kinda sh1t that happens to us, Ray in papers praising Donaldson said to me hes staying.

Its a f ucking sh1te situation to be in

Cant say im too bothered if he doesnt sign as the defense is already set and i dont think Quinn would be coming as first choice. It could all just be paper talk to try and force our hand.

IMO Quinns better than Durnan and Edge and a million times better than Donaldson so i am kinda bothered to be honest

You're probably right but I assumed he would be playing at right-back. In which case he's phucking light years better than Murdoch and Toshers......

We can't have Edgenguele & Durnan knowing they will start every week, regardless.

With only Donaldson as back up, I'd have thought Quinn was a no brainer.

Was a no brainer for me , he is better than anything we have , huge mistake if we don't sign him

From a footballing point of view it's a no-brainer. From a financial point of view it's probably far more complex.

as i said the other day M, we need to get it right this time, i dont see how we can survive anther season down here. Gotta get up and if that means spending a bit more than budgeted for then so be it IMO

Ideally yes but if the situation is as precarious as reported then it's an incredibly difficult balancing act.

If this Quinn does sign he better be good.
He's got cult status on the forums already.
Only Hall of Fame player never to have played?

Are we a feeder club now.?? Giving players training facilities, giving the fans the impression we might sign them until Hamilton pop along and hoover them off us. 😉

Nothing to wee cult status , people merry pointing out he is better than what we have , says more about our current players than about Quinn

That's it in an FN nutshell mate, great post not negative just telling it like it is.A few year ago he would have been suited, booted and sitting in the stand waiting on injuries and suspension's kicking in.

Going into this season with Quinn, Durnan, Edge and Scobbie as our centre back options will be fantastic compared to recent seasons...

SIGN HIM

Yea will be in Snug mate , really hope Joe shows up 😂😂 , on a different note , it's in one of the paper's about us being interested in an Irish striker from Dundalk any one got any news on this ????

Arab 8010

David McMillan 28yrs striker. Dundalk want a 5 figure fee for him but utd are unwilling to pay it. He's out of contract in 3 months

I might be having a deja vu here but did we not have a similar situation with an Irish player a while back.?? Whatever happened to that guy.?

ianharab
22-07-2017, 11:20 AM
Can't be wanting that much if only got months on his contract , no sure , see Inverness have signed striker we were linked with last season

Ritchie Ryan. Went on to be player of the year with Ottawa Fury I'm sure.

Back on topic, Quinn is still training with us.

Are we just not getting him fit til someone else comes.along and offers him a contract.?! 😉

Signing a striker or 2 is much more of a priority now but would still be good to get Quinn on board..
