There was flights available on both the EDI and GLA Paphos flights last night, I'm kicking mysel because I was going to book them after the first goal went in.

I've just booked from Manchester, £256 return compared to about £200 this morning so dandies are obviously diving in.

Well worth looking at "air b n b". Download the app and you can hire out whole apartments for £50-100 a night, basically renting someone house where 4/5 can easily share. Some of the house have their own private pools. Could work out very cheap for dandies

We are back in the 3rd qualifying round in merit. In one of the last three (Real Sociedad) , we met a real good team. However, in the last two campaigns versus Kairat Almaty and Maribor, we had them in our hipper, but let them out. This time, let's get through and make Pittodrie a fortress. Milne's interview today was ill-timed and ill-advised, but let's show the spineless prick we are AFC and we will be long after the gutless **** leaves our club.

I have used this local, long-established company on previous trips to Cyprus and can recommend them.

Fill in the form on the website or send them an e-mail and they will get back to you with a price.

They will wait for delayed flights and no problem booking return travel too.

The club will announce, probably on Wednesday once Apollon have brought over the tickets (they fly over late tonight), that tickets can be bought from the ticket office. As usual they will ask for your passport number, flight and hotel details.

There will be an option to collect the tickets in Cyprus if you can't make it to the ticket office in person in the short time available before the game.

There were a few unhappy punters in the ticket office this morning when they sold out.

Shambles of an organization.

The same mentality that fails to open a desk for collections only this morning and leaves 5 turnstiles closed for South Stand last night.

Turnstile 8 was mysteriously opened around 19:30 when they was already a queue of about 500 people?

What about turnstiles 11-14... why weren't they open? Is it because the club couldn't be bothered to install readers in them?

Some guy with a megaphone shouting at crowd to "use all turnstiles"... well how about opening all the turnstiles then!

20 minutes before kick-off and 4 South turnstiles not open (8 has just been opened before the photo)

Many, many more behind me in the queue

I'm pretty angry about the whole shambolic situation. Took me an hour to get through this morning and then on hold for 30 minutes. Only 2 people working in the ticket office. Didn't expect to be swamped like they were apparently. So no system in place and just first come first served. She wouldn't even take my details saying they would call back IF they received more. Looks like home end for me then (with a motorcycle helmet on). A strongly worded E-Mail to the ticket office is about to be despatched.

Agreed.

But this presumes:

Some thought goes into the club's ticket retailing process.
They have competent, customer-centric people making the decisions.

Unfortunately, the evidence points to you being mistaken!

Take it they weren't up to pittodrie pie standards?

On that point, I noticed on Thursday that the south stand catering team have came up with a hi-tech, ground breaking method of solving the problem of pies sticking to the tin foil cases....... They have sprinkled flour on it first.

For anyone with a ticket, do you know which section of the ground we are in?

I think it might be the black seats (which is the North side in reality, rather than East as shown below).

Lewis

Logan Arnason Reynolds Considine

Tansey McLean Shinnie

Christie Mackay-Steven

Stewart

Tough on O'Connor who's started season well but need Arnie in for this one. Stewart has slotted in quicker than Maynard and has the physical presence to handle the robust defence and will link and hold up effectively. Would not be risking Stockley's elbows and headless chicken routine tomorrow night. Big night for Tansey and will allow a bit more licence to McLean whilst not disrupting disciplined shape to swamp the middle of the park.

2-1 Dons. Rooney off the bench to bag late counter winner.

If it had been 0-0, i.e. if the half had played out the exact same without that abortion of a goal conceded, I wouldnae be that unhappy.

But we have, so the hale dynamic shifts.

The ref done OK until the hinder end, when he just went.....homer.

Can't understand why we started with Stockley - he's totally immobile. Maynard would've been a much better option. We're not currently looking like scoring so i'd get Stockley off and put Maynard on for second half. If we're still needing a goal after 60 mins, get O'Connor off and put Wright on and just go all out. No point hanging around to 85 mins before going all guns blazing - need to be all guns blazing for the whole of the second half.

Needing a bit of magic from Christie, Stewart or GMS. If these guys have aspirations of international football this is when they've got to show they have the quality for it.

Never ever going to win these types of games with the likes of Maynard or Stockley up front.

Game over.

Losing to Sociedad and Kairat was acceptable - they were decent to good teams. But thon Cypriot lot were dire, and it's an embarrassment losing to them.

Cue all the usual platitudes and excuses from all the usual suspects trying to get people to attend on Sunday. On that display we will struggle against any stuffy team. Poor up front and plainly dreadful at the back. A big gaping hole that has not been addressed and won't be as it is now too late.

Very disappointing after all the promises of looking to improve. We clearly have not.

We have too many players who are clearly miles away from competing at European level (group stages?!)

Reynolds, Considine, Stockley, Stewart.

Stockley should never have started in a million years - was a waste of a jersey.
Would've been better with Wright on from the start and Stewart through the middle for a bit more mobility.
Not sure what the point was in bringing Tansey on.
Reynolds is horrendous on the ball and nervy in the challenge.
Stewart still looks unfit and overweight.
MacLean was nowhere to be seen.

Like others have said, we've gone out to a lesser team tonight, having had a 1 goal headstart.

I thought there was a bit of cash floating about. Why are we signing dross from the English lower leagues, when there is an aspiration to progress in Europe. To be fair, the new signings were poor tonight and the team selection was wrong from the start.
Fail.

Maybe it would have been better if McInnes had buggered of to Sunderland, judging by the last few euro adventures he is clueless when it really matters.

That was the four players I was going to mention....The manager has to take a lot of the blame tonight...starting with stockley up front was bad enough but not to sub him at half time was worse....if any considine apologists rear their heads again on here they should be shot...we need a left back who can at least try and get up and down the flank...not his fault as he is a centre half...Reynolds positioning is terrible...can't even pass a ball...Stewart was terrible but again the manager should have subbed him earlier ...we are weaker than last season with this team...oh and the Greeks were ****e...worse than the three teams we went out to the last three years ...that says it all

Mikey Stewart called it right.
We sat too far off them, the back four was too deep and this made the game too long.

But our back four isn't good enough to be confident in holding a high line.

We were chasing shadows, I've never seen Shinnie so f u c k e d.

One thing is clear and that is a small vocal support contributes much more to the intimidation factor than a sell out 20k. Sure throwing flares about helps as well but as long as it is swept under the carpet who really cares. Of course no doubt we will get hammered for whatever is going on post match while others get away with all sorts.

UEFA (and FIFA) make the corrupt insects running Scottish fitba look like Mother Teresa.

A Scottish team comes with the nonsense the Cypriots did, probably looking at being kicked out.

But it'll be us that gets hammered.

I think we might be.
GMS for Hayes is downgrade.
Stewart for McGinn - possibly downgrade
No better up front.
Arnason for Taylor you'd think is an upgrade (if he gets a game!)
Tansey for Jack - not a lot in it.

As for Considine, he's so limited at full back.
An honest trier but so slow & ponderous.
Not a modern day full back at all.

Another central defender. Reynolds is weak.
A left back - Considine - see above.
A good no.9 - off load Storey & Stockley if possible.

That's what we need in an ideal world.

O Connor was pretty much the bombscare Taylor's cover last season and is now first choice centre back so what does that say about our progression. Even more worrying is the fact that he has looked the most reliable out of the whole back four so far.

We got knocked out at this stage last season with McGinn,Hayes and Jack so how you can tell the players you mentioned are a downgrade at this stage is baffling.

I think people saying that team tonight and Maribor are shyte are forgetting we are a Scottish team, the might be shyte but the spfl is a poorer standard that's why we are in these games.

European football is pysh anyway,I don't think I could handle watching much more players rolling around like they have been shot every time someone touches them.

I think comparing new players to old isn't like for like.
Stewart is a totally different player to McGinn, ditto Tansey/Jack.
I think we have to be looking at a fundamental change in our default shape.
In our old 4-2-3-1, I just don't see where a'body plays.
And, IMHO, Del's single biggest challenge this season will be to effectively accommodate both MacLean and Christie in the same team.

Never seen the game. Just in the door and seeing result. Too many duffs in the line up. Stockley is the worst professional footballer I have clapped eyes on. Any team using him as the focal point of attack is in trouble. Reynolds is done. Stewart is 10lbs too heavy with, I fear, a poor outlook at the game with the payslip meaning more than the points. He has talent but needs desire. So the 2 mentioned earlier plus considine out the team we may progress. It's nae that hard.

And a right back.

Logan is another one who's fine against the ****e in the SPFL but can't make the step up... Bottled the leveller against the Tims in the cup final, missing for the Bosnian leveller at Pittodrie, missing when left back scored from 6 yards last week, and missing when Stewart was getting skinned for their goal tonight. Not good enough.

Fair enough rst everyone is entitled to their opinion:)

I think these guys will be fine in domestic games, they may not end up as good as Hayes and McGinn but I said earlier in the summer we would have to spend the Hayes cash to replace them and we have only spent 150k so far.

I also said we might have to break our wage structure and was told that we shouldn't do that by some on here, fair enough but what are these guys expecting we are gonna sign for 2 or 3 grand a week?

Not any better than what we have already I would imagine.

Very disappointed in tonight's result and the performance.
We need to be a lot more savvy against these sort of teams and their theatrical diving , fouling and timewasting etc .
We also needed to hold onto the ball with sharp accurate passing..we gave the ball away far too cheaply .
But all told we lost this tie in the first leg when we could have finished them with at least 2 more goals and had the tie out of sight.
Agree to some extent with those who don't mind not being in europe when we have to play these types of teams ,who play a game that we would slate Aberdeen for if AFC resorted to their antics. But it's a hurdle we need to get through to play the quality teams ,learn from experience and get some revenue into the club.
Still Hamilton on Sunday will help get the frustration out of my system

We have been playing well only in patches really so far, 1/2 game performances that have seen us through. This game we didn't put in even a 1/2 of the match.
Really poor for the whole game seemingly.

We didn't get in the players we needed & should have , to maybe help us through this round.

Still most fans would have started with Arnason. Not many would have wanted stockley up front.

It's been another management failure . Not correct tactics & questionable arrival time in a country we knew needed acclimatising.
Not to mention the fitness of the players, still not at a decent level I would say.

What really bothered me with Considine was that he looked particularly uncomfortable making and movement forward and instantly resorted to utterly hopeless hoofs upfield. A complete lack of imagination. Not his fault entirely as his midfield evaporated and there was no outlet.

Worst game for McLean in a red shirt?

Stockley was just awful. He has no business playing at that level. His first touch was comical and for a lone striker he made very little effort to press or hurry defenders in his vicinity. They played around him like he was a ghost.

It's been said, but we asked too much of our wing play by sitting so deep. Our defense looked out of its depth which is really disappointing considering how we've dealt with better teams in the past.

Why wasn't Christie in the middle causing problems rather than hiding out wide?!?

Shades of when Maddison signed last season and was shoehorned into the side, wrecking the balance of the side totally. Despite the fact that we have zero chance of signing Christie at the end of this season, if McLean isn't going to sign a new deal, let him go this month, to Sevco if needs be.
