We all knew it was never going to happen, but we had to try and be diplomatic towards those who claimed it would happen. lol
Fletch might come back here one day, in about 14 years when hes looking for one last pay off before retirement (like Lita did).
On second thoughts, we don't do that sort of thing anymore do we!

The sixth permanent signing of the summer has brought a 21-year-old striker to Teesside.

Fletcher arrived for talks on Thursday after flying in from West Ham's training camp in Germany and put pen to paper on a four-year deal on Friday morning.

Signed for £6.5m, Fletcher adds to the fire-power assembled at the Riverside over the last few weeks as Garry Monk shapes his squad for the Championship season and is the second player to sign from West Ham in the last seven days, following on from the acquisition of Ireland international goalkeeper Darren Randolph.

So far this summer we have signed Britt Assombalonga, Martin Braithwaite, Cyrus Christie, Jonny Howson and Darren Randolph, plus Luke Armstrong, Enes Mahmutovic, George Miller and Lewis Wing at Under-23 level and Connor Roberts on loan for the season from Swansea.

Ope it stays fine forrum  it's been sed many times tho , parachute payments are unfair , they create debt by overspending  the game we used to know is now Thos Cooked , losing time , heart and patience with it all just now ! Can it continue as it is ?
Wat a shame the working man's sport has been taken away by the greedy ones , i wonder what our own Barry Taylor thinks about all this unfairness

Just ask yourself "do you subscribe to Sky Sports or BT Sport"
if so there's your answer

Its disgraceful Tarnmad and as usual clubs the size of ours are the ones who suffer the most.
Middlesbrough for example have just done their jobs badly and have been relegated, and what happens... they get to spend/blow going on £50 million on new players as a 'reward'.
