Edinburgh Fringe kicks off its annual tosspot migration today.

BRITAIN will become 68% more pleasant as the Edinburgh Fringe draws in the country’s pathologically self-absorbed b******s for the next three weeks.

As the rest of the country enjoys a well-earned break, the Scottish capital will once again be awash with sixth-form poetry, half-baked political idealism and post-modern reworkings of the A-Team as a feminist statement about pubes.

If only the Metropolitan Police were there to batter them all with sticks.

How about 'Alex Salmond Unleashed' at venue 20, £7.50 at the door, £5 concessions. No thanks.

And nae fitba at venue Tynecastle until September or October at least when the JamTarts could be well adrift and without a win in 10.

Alex Salmond's two-week stint at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has completely sold out.

The former first minister is to star in 'Alex Salmond Unleashed' at the annual arts festival in August.

All 15 performances have now sold out - with Mr Salmond selling a total of 5,250 tickets at the 350-capacity Assembly Rooms.
