Surely he's peeked right now.

1 goal 1 game

He's stocks will be at the highest right now.

He may get a goal at Colchester as we brush them aside easily in the first half before getting knocked out 4-2 in the second.

Or maybe I was right after all and he's going to have a very good season.

Bingo I reckon he'll get injured before he gets another goal

Well Bongo, you cannot say "maybe I was right" after just one game!

He could have had a brace maybe even a hat- trick but where was he in the 2nd half? we have seen this before not only from him but the whole team, are they not capable of playing 90 mins? have we been cought out by buying too many senior players?

It was a thunderous first half and maybe had green placed his header in the net, we may have grabbed all 3 points. It was the best 10 minutes I have seen from Mr Villa for many a year but he seemed to run out of steam far to quick for my liking but then again It was only the first game and the team will become fitter, what we have got to learn IF we are to be taken seriously as promotion contenders is to be more ruthless in front of goal, if we start to get that 2nd goal after going 1-0 up we need to be able to continue and not become complacent. This is where the older heads need take a lead including gabby!!

The mail tonight says Mr Villa could end up with 20 to 25 goals this season, I very much doubt this but would love to be proven wrong.

Its obvious Dion Dublin needs to seriously reduce his intake of Wray & Nephew White Over-proof Rum http://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/funny/1/smiley-drinking-beer.gif (http://www.sherv.net/)

I can't see him scoring that amount either Dave but he's surly worth his spot in the 1st 11. He's probably short of match fitness but either way he will be an important player this season.

Well he did score and secured us a point and it wasn't again the blues so fair play to him.
As we have all stated before he is playing for a contract now so maybe just maybe we will see a different gabby?

8 or 9 goals may be?

Well if scores against Cardiff I may have to relook at my guess but me thinks that's it for about 5 games!

Still trying to figure out how he will get anything anywhere near 14 goals.
He's older.
How many did he score last season coming straight from the premier league the season before?

Sorry Bingo, I feel that purely through facts we have seen in the past I can't see him even getting close to double figures. But more than happy to be proven wrong.

I'm not saying he's a great striker. However were in the championship and in this league he can be very useful and as Bruce said he's arguably one of the best strikers in the league when fit and he is.
It's all I'm saying really and its logical if you put away the gabby hating spectacles.

yubbywelch

was he useful last season?

Nope. so the one season we have spent in the Championship he was crap.
As were the last 1/2 dozen in the premiership

Re; Steve Bruce's statement – there are no facts/statistics/evidence to support this ludicrous comment

Agonawol Games 396 Goals 86 =1 goal every 415 minutes

Hogan Games 82 Goals 44 = 1 Goal every 162 minutes

The statistics illustrate

It don't matter a http://www.picgifs.com/animal-graphics/animal-graphics/rats/animal-graphics-rats-390738.gif (http://www.picgifs.com/animal-graphics/)a$$

What league/division he plays in

Gabby is definitely/unquestionably even at his (cough) best "an excuse for a STRIKER"

However, the stats this season show that his ratio is one goal per game. Can't argue with that ;D

If “the Kraken” has awoke after his 6 ˝ season hibernation its grounds for optimism -but its gonna be “one hell of a transmutation”

Sounds exceedingly optimistic to me that Yubbs

Mind you if S Bruce said "he's arguably one of the best strikers in the league" & this is endorsed by Bongo edit of " when fit - he is "
he should be ripping this league apart

What I find disturbing is IF Agonawol is “Arguably one of the best strikers in the league"…. you’d hate to see the poorest wouldn't you ???

He should be able to do that.
But sadly he doesn't ever do it.
So maybe history can be broken.

Maybe if he gets a job at a sports factory he could get that job of putting the goal posts and netting into bags.

Steve Bruce has to integrate Callum O’Hare into the team the young lad has awareness/imagination to *unlock defences & fill the #10 role ( *his deft back heel last night which presented Hogan a real opportunity last night was superb)

Yes I know it was only Colchester- but it was only Walsall, we have no one comparable to this young talent – its time we tried another system other than Bruce’s http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/swearing/clueless.gif (http://www.sherv.net/) 3 6 1

‘Cause it don't work do it ?
