View Full Version : Why so few fans against Port Vale?

Looking on website, looks like a poor crowd tomorrow.
For me it's proper fixture (ie not friendley/pre season), so i'll be there.

tickets are £10 for ST Holders £15 for others. IMO this low price makes up for the fact that we'll make loads of changes. Kids under 11 get in for £2.50.

Plenty of fans blame ticket prices for not being able to go to ER, but when prices are reduced they still don't go.

So why are so few going? Opposition (i go to watch Leeds, so don't get this excuse), midweek, choosing games, Preston ticket prices high....?

Think most people don't really care or feel indifferent about this one.

Think you're spot on Andy. I mean, it's the League Cup but can you name (or pronounce), the sponsor?

You are better off out of it and concentrating on staying up this season..

I think Alf is spot on about being better off out of this plastic pretend competition, then we can focus on real football and getting face-to-face with real teams (maybe even in the PL!). But he's wrong regarding concerns about staying up. Even I don't think we are anywhere near having to worry about that this season

Vale have sold out their allocation of 500 and advised to but tickets on day.

Michael Brown reckons there be 20000, no disrespect to him but nobody gets them gates in the early rounds....

I understand what you are saying wtf but especially early doors these games are good for us injuries apart! They are good for looking at our 'other' players, getting us up to fitness par on a competitive level, getting us tighter as a unit and a win and goals are great for moral whoever our opposition is. We get beat, no big deal really as you say because we all know what our 'real' prize is.

I for one, wouldnt like us to get beat. Wins breed confidence. Remember the debacle in the FA cup last season.:?

I have said it before so might aswell say it again if we get further in this cup you will want to then win it no?, As Leeds fans we want to win EVERY game we play surely, The reason has to be 3 home games in 8 days or so,

Ok so this cup wont drag fans in until maybe later stages if we got there but would have been more there tonight if we didnt have these home games to follow,

I went v Oxford and again although pretty decent 13,000 playing a bigger club would have doubled that attendance.
