In games where we have a half empty stadium like last night, we should give tickets free to hundreds of school kids and their parents. If just 50 keep coming to games it could increase the support we have paying in the future. If it turns ten kids into Reds it will be a start. The " lifetime value" of a single customer/family in a supermarket is huge, ( Weekly shop (£'s) x 52 x 60 years)
Our spend in the club isn't the same huge amount, but it's a lifetime value we could do with to increase the fan base.

Just keep winning and the fans will turn up.

Aye 25 years ago maybe , now such clubs would field their academy lads with a couple of squad players thrown in and charge us £30 for the privilege .

I'm a great believer in making the punishment fit the crime.
On that basis, any manager that puts only youth players out for cup games should be put on the *** offenders register.

A good idea, Jules - who'd begrudge kids?

0-3 defeat, maybe live on Sky, forgotten after a couple of weeks, looking anxiously at bottom of league table.

Give me safe by Easter anytime.

You never know what's around the corner. Bradshaw bagged himself two goals last night and some of our build up play was exceptional. Another home game to come this satdi. I'm looking forward to it more than I was this time yesterday.

I think in Hedges Hecky has inadvertently found a genuine strike partner for Bradshaw Jules. I'm certainly more optimistic. If truth be known I didn't fancy us to get owt at Bristol anyway mate.

Thats exactly what Ive thought as well Ponty. Hedges was there all the time and didn't really get a look in, so we might have found some important answers to a strike partner for Bradshaw.
And lets face it, I think we all expected a loss at Bristol anyway so nothing was 'lost' really, it was the first half 3 goal collapse that was disappointing.
