57 goals in 188 games, German striker. Linked with him, one goal every 3 or 4 games, not greatly inspiring but you never know

concerning that we're looking at a striker when it's being rumoured the Wood is subject of a 15 million bid from Burnley.

What was Woods record like before he came to us?

Seems Leeds have rejected a 12 million bid for wood, which means it will be upped and he will be off to join Mr Taylor at Burnley.

I know what you're saying, but Wood did basically get Leicester promoted when they won the Championship - he was prolific that year.

Yep - injured quite often, but whenever he played he scored important goals. And often.

He came on as substitute 19 times that year and still scored 4 goals in the league in 7 starts. You're right though, it was the season before that i was thinking of, when Leicester finished 6th and lost in the play-offs.

I have the misfortune to live in Leicester, and Leicester City fans were massive fans of Chris Wood when he played here - the thing about him was that he was always injured, or coming back from injury, hence the sub stats - when he wasn't injured the year before, his ratio was 1 in 2, which was the best at the club.

I think without the injuries in his career as a whole (even at Leeds when he first came when he seemed to get injured a lot) he would have scored a lot more. Sadly not today though!

Lasogga has already been inured quite often.

If the two clubs can come to terms on them subsidising his wages I'd be happy with him joining us and giving Wood competition, he is a brilliant player who has been unfortunate with injury and if we can get him fully fit and fighting he'd terrorise this league. Hope it comes off soon and we don't sell Wood.

Wonder how he would have done with the one on one Wood had with their keeper yesterday.
