Lancashire must be the oasis of the world, grandson playing against Lancashire young 'uns today left home in brilliant sunshine two mile from the ground there was a small shower...maybe a minute or two. Get in the ground and everywhere is still soaking wet from a deluge the night before but sunshine really warm.
Looking forward to a two day match.
Decision made to start play at 3-30pm...inspection...still soaking wet, game called off and everyone leaves in brilliant sunshine.
Bad choice of venue as the ground is in a basin, walking round the ground and all the drains looked blocked...dreadful place.
Still going back tomorrow though as they will play a one day 50 over match....:)
