We were so naïve in our defending, we got back into the game just before half-time with a smashing goal from Ryan Colclough and to go in 2-1 at the break would have been great. I thought second half we were very honest with our play, we kept going but Villa’s quality shone through at times. So disappointing night, disappointing result, great for the lads to get 90 minutes in such a fantastic stadium, great credit to Aston Villa and we wish them luck in the next round.

Fair play too him. It looks like we have some strength in depth now. Last year Wigan would have beat a full strength villa side.
