They have signed 3 players that were in relegation battles last season for £105million:D

when 19 of the 20 premier league clubs have broken their transfer record within the past 4 Windows (18mths or so) and the 20th club is us. 13 yrs since we spunked £16 - £17m on owen and a full 21 yrs since we bought shearer.

Breaking transfer records ultimately leads to breaking wage structures, severely.
Basically speaking, if you're going to break the transfer record you better hope that the wages that go with it are super justified or you're going to create massive unrest among the other high earners who now look like paupers, considering.

It's a dodgy situation that can only be solved by destroying your wage structure and pandering to whims.

More so with Jonny Evans - £21 million rejected bid. They want £30 million.

It's a sign of the market and you can't blame them for wanting that but bloody hell, it's madness.

I've said it before and I will say it again it won't be long before players like jack colback are going for £20-£30million
