Had my house burgled the weekend, cannot pit into writing or words how I feel but tge *******s took everything of value including my prized laptop which has meant minimal time on my favourite footy forums!
I guess VR may have been thinking I've gone quiet due to my miserable start to the fantasy football. No I cannot even get on and sub any of my players!
So a little warning to anyone in the Worcestershire area that the thieves are back in town and P's lock your windows as it will cost you your insurance!

I will be back soon at full throttle once I get a replacement laptop.

I will keep checking in on you all unless they come back and nick my mobile!!!

Cheers Guys, cannot understand how the brain works with these low life's!
Pity we havn't got a game this week to take my mind off it or some transfer news! Sounds like our dealings are done for this summer unless Sunderland stump up for Ross Mac?

Sorry to hear that mate, I feel your anger and pain. I got done 3 times at two different addresses whilst I was living in the Potteries during the late 80s-mid 90s. Home just didn't feel like home after my ground floor flat got done twice in a month, both times on a Sunday afternoon, they knew I'd be in the pub. I moved shortly after and got done again bout a year later (evening mid-week), moved again bout 10 months later. Just like before, didn't feel like home. Had an alarm ever since. Did you or any of yours post on social media that you'd be out/away?

Wish you n yours all the very best mate.

Hi Dave,

I'm really sorry to hear about the burglary, Dave. It must have been awful returning home at the weekend and making that discovery.

I hope that things return to normal as quickly as possible for you.

Winnie x

If anyone breaks in while me and the Mrs are home they may be in for a surprise. I'm not much into guns but Mrs Statesy is armed and dangerous.

Same here mate. Three Glocks. One in the bedroom, one in each of the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. Gun crime is no problem where we live though, but you never know.

I track the West Midlands news via the Express and Star site and it looks like gun crime is worse back home than it is were I live around 30 miles north of Houston, Texas. Well I know it is. Very sad.

My friend beat found a burglar in his house and beat him up. He did longer in prison than the burglar. How stupid is that!

Sorry to hear that Dave. The only thing I worry about is my dog being stolen.

We are fine mate, thanks for asking. We live in The Woodlands which is around 28 miles north of downtown. We have an excellent drainage system so we never have a problem. The sad truth is though it just funnels the water off into the neighboring communities eventually.

I heard this morning that in four days more than 600 Trillion gallons of water fell on the greater Houston area, more than 200,000 cars were flooded and the number of flooded and abandoned homes is likely to be in the tens of thousands. Luckily, although they have not got a count yet, the fatalities are relatively small given the scale of the disaster.

Out of interest, where do you live in the States?

All over the news here but must admit tge coverage is pants, I keep saying to myself ut don't look that bad but it must be!
The world is changing and we are hearing more and more of these types of tragedies but in more open areas and not the back of beyond!:a sobering thought is that tge annual monsoon in India has killed over 1500 people but hardly reported!

Yeah saw that Dave, 41 million people displaced. Draw a line between Liverpool and Hull and everyone south of that line is roughly 40 million, all displaced, shocking mate.

Yeah. Americans report on American news only. Never heard about the monsoon. Houston's problem is it is flat as a table top. Florida is the same way. I live on high ground 65' ft above sea level. LOL

Still struggling without my laptop. Worst of it is thst I've found out I'm not insured!!! Littlewoods decided to stop taking my DD without informing me so I've truly lost everything!
Anyway villamon, watch those Pikies in Droitwich. Seriously no one is safe.

Hi Dave,

I'm really sorry to hear about your insurance company. I think that's outrageous that they are trying to wriggle out of paying. It's not your fault they stopped taking the DD payments without telling you.

I'm not sure where you stand, legally, on this one, but the Financial Ombudsman may be able to advise? Linky for you:

http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

Westy, if Dave is agreeable, and you or he would like to set something up, I'm happy to chip in.

Good shout on the Ombudsman Winnie, let us know how you get on Dave and we'll go from there unless you want me to butt out!
