By my calculations, this is now our best ever start to a season in the 3 pts for a win era. We've never had 16 or more pts after 7 games played.

You should tweet that to AH and KN.
Great start - especially considering how few players were brought in.

You’re correct upthemaggies. I make it 3 times that we’ve had 15 points after 7 games.
Barnwell’s team in 1987/88. Warnock’s in 1990/91 and surprisingly Thordarson’s team of 2005/06 when we ended the season 3 points away from the Conference.
The worst points haul after 7 games since 3 points for a win was introduced was Kiwomya's 1 point in 2013/14.

Fascinating. You just knew the worst would be recently!
The 87/88 squad had a lot of talent, the 90/91 squad was definitely the best team we've had outside of the top flight and possibly the best team, end of.

Wow! Can't remember Thordarson's team having such a great start, but I remember the dismal end...
I felt sorry for Kiwomya as despite the shockingly bad start, the team actually played some nice football and were desperately unlucky in more than a few matches. They were just a bit too 'nice'.

upthemaggies in the original post said it was the best start in the 3 points for a win era, which started in the 1983/84 season.
The 1970/71 season did have a better start (W5 D2 L0) and the following season started (W5 D1 L1) but these were prior to the era upthemaggies was referring to.

Should be 18pts as well. As good a side as Accy Stanley are, we should have won.
