wasnt at the open meeting myself but did anyone ask the ins and outs of the cremie proposal seeing as there is 1 within a peter lorimer shot of the proposed development, are the yanks that own the cremie on board?if not then that will be a major obstacle i think along with needing major trunk road approval

It's actually a genius decision, There is a growing lack of plots for burials locally, the cremmy demand is growing and the current wait times for the cremmy are roughly 2 weeks, so there is certainly demand for it.

I was in the crematorium recently.

What a dump it is. Unkempt, unloved and needing a bit of Money spent on it.

Brass plaques hanging off the remembrance wall and litter everywhere.

Also 8-10 day waiting time.

People need to understand that the location of the proposed crematorium is based solely on creating revenue for the stadium. My understanding is that it would not be operated by DFC or the stadium owners but by a third party who I suspect is already onboard with the proposal. As for being close to the existing crematorium, again I believe there are concerns about the ongoing waiting times and the lack of competition etc

heard last week that Dundee in the dearest place in Scotland for a funeral, I know its not all the crematorium that the money goes to, but sure it will be a fair chunk
