Another win too! Not the best game apparently but can't complain. Up to 7th and two points off 3rd. Cardiff dropped 2 points as well.
Wolves going well though.

Saw 90% on a stream. Quite impressed. Bolton weren't bad, but lack confidence. Physical though and the ref was so crap they just mugged Davis over and over without ever awarding a foul.

I took my eyes off the screen for the red card. My Dad said it was not a red and we will win the tribunal appeal.

We controlled the match without really doing a lot and we should have grabbed a couple. We went into complete panic mode at the back and Bolton should have scored if it weren't for Samba's gigantic head.

Well its 3 more points, however having to throw on Chris Samba, to keep the the side fixed to the bottom of the table at bay is a concern!

As for “we look a real threat going forward “ not on today's showing we ain't Steve

Not a classic but knew Bolton would come to make it difficult not surprised we had to scrap for it, that's exactly what you have to do in this league!
Massive game coming up v Wolves but I think that will suit us better and a draw there would not be a bad result.
Take a well earned break lads but stay focused.

Oh and so nice to see that lot from down the road put well and truly back in their place. Had to laugh the other night when I heard on tge radio a nose saying they would finish top 6 and above us, priceless!!
Deluded and obssessed.

how can these referees be the best of the rest... truly shocking!

Could be a blessing in disguise how this game panned out, on paper after 3 wins on the spin it's a home banker, confidence is high and AVFC should easily brush Bolton aside. Any teams coming to VP will look to frustrate us and turn the crowd against the team, experience of grinding out a result is a good thing & will keep their feet on the ground.

12 pts from 12, 1 goal conceded - big test for us now away to high flying Wolves.

Do you think Taylor's red will be overturned? Hope so - who is our other LB?

I can sense Gabby coming on in the last 10 mins and winning it for us. Or knicking a point!

Gabby is always a good option off the bench. I'm guessing Hutton will go left back unless we go 3 at the back and play Adomah as a wing back. I know bruse suggested green could do a job there.

We have Oscar Borg looking great in the u23's but I doubt he's ready for this level. Liam Clark is not a left back but impressed there vs Wigan. If not Bedeau could fill in or as Bongo says more likely DeLaet or Hutton will play there.

My Dad is confident that was a yellow card tackle and will get over turned

Big deal, fans on gabby back as usual. Nothing new there but doesn't mean there right. My views are similar to Bruse in the matter so I guess It holds more weight than yours.

You have been on about this Oscar bloke for a while now Stateside. I would like to see him play and given a chance like we did Davis. It's sink or swim with these youngsters but it's great when the player swims like Davis has.

I am with the vast majority of Villa fans in their opinion @ £55,000 per WEEK he is utter waste material

Agonawol has pimped a fortune off us for an eternity , had our previous managers had their way he MIGHT be playing in the lower reaches in some foreign clime, & A V F C would be millions of pounds better off

Yes he runs around a lot, that's due to his appalling first touch

Gabby will probably be gone in the summer and you can celebrate then. Right now he could be an important player. Davis needs protecting a bit and cant play every minute of every game. We need Gabby especially with hogans injury problems that recur every month. He's proved he can change a match off the bench on numerous occasions last season. Saying injury free is gabbys biggest problem recently not the lack of effort or ability.
Anyway let's not hijack this thread and turn it into another boring Gabby debate.

Do you think Dr x made a mistake not sacking Bruse when you suggested he should?

‘Excuse me but isn't the Thread: v Bolton ????

I stated Mr Bruce would come under increased scrutiny IF our points per game ratio did not show an immediate & sustained improvement ..Capisci Bongo ?

Oh yes that's exactly how you said it.

Just face it, you hate bruse because he agrees with me about Gabby.

He's proved he can change a match off the bench on numerous occasions last season.

Numerous occasions Bongo? A backheel and a goal against SHA aside his contribution is terrible, he's falling way down the pecking order now and rightly so.

Since Bruse put his arm around him he's not had a bad game. Injuries has been the reason hes not been more useful.

Since Bruse put his arm around him blah blah blah.......

An arm around a slightly higher part of his bloated anatomy (his throat)

http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/fighting/strangling.gif (http://www.sherv.net/)

Was more in keeping for the useless wally after allowing himself to become such an unfit disgrace

The fact Gérard Houllier advised Rémi Garde “make the removal of Gabby Agbonlahor a priority “ clearly illustrates the esteem previous managers held him in

I think Bruce has worked out now that Gabby is working ticket, how can he keep getting injured while not playing? Gabby is off in May and may as well be placed on gardening duty!
The team now has balance so Gabby would now not add anything but I would place him on the benchjust because it's tge SHA !

I thought we played we against them Daz. Bolton were there to put 10 players behind the ball at all times and to foul us. The ref was ignoring their holding and punishing us for our players lashing back at them. The players were getting frustrated but fortunately got the deserved penalty and the confidence was evident after the goal.

The defenders were great throughout but got a little panicky in the final minutes.

oh Bingo.

Facts, you need to work with facts not feelings.

From players you like, to fellow Villians, to everything in the world.

Don't get me wrong feelings are good, and need to be listened to but not 100% of the time.
